Has your child been diagnosed with a food allergy? Is your child following an elimination diet under the guidance of a physician? Has your child had an allergic reaction to food (including FPIES) or tested positive for a food allergy? Are you looking for additional support? Then, this workshop is for you. You do not need to be a registered patient of Center City Pediatrics to participate.
Anna Bechtel (RN, MPH) facilitates this opportunity to meet other families struggling with food allergies, and have your questions answered on a variety of topics, including:
- Communicating with childcare providers
- Educating family and friends
- Emergency plans
- Practicing with (empty) epinephrine injectors
- Food allergies and the law
- Local resources
Please do not bring any food or drink other than water, breast milk or formula to the workshop – we strive to make the space as safe as possible. The discussion is appropriate for infants in arms or caregivers without children. Some topics may be scary for young children.
