Early Access allows parents to preschedule their acutely sick child in the evenings to be seen and treated quickly on the following weekday morning. Early Access is available in our Center City location.
Use of Early Access
Early Access is available for children who have become suddenly ill over night with symptoms causing pain or discomfort [ex; fever, sore throat, ear pain] or with symptoms have worsened overnight and are causing pain or discomfort.
There are a limited number of these appointments available each morning before our regularly scheduled patients. Visit our website beginning at 10:30pm Sunday – Thursday evenings to preschedule for the following morning. Early Access will remain available until the office opens in the morning. If Early Access is full, please contact the office at 215-735-5600 to schedule an appointment.
Acute (Sick) Appointments
Early Access should not be used if your child has had symptoms that have been present for several days, or if you child has several unrelated complaints [ex: diaper rash, runny nose, and a pimple on the ear] that will take a longer time to review.
Early Access is not meant if you are heading out of town and want your child seen before you leave or if your work schedule is hectic and you want your child seen first thing in the morning because it is convenient for you.
In these cases, please contact the office and schedule an acute (sick) appointment. If you utilize Early Access for appointments that do not meet the above walk-in guidelines, Center City Pediatrics reserves the right to schedule an appointment later in the day.
