The transition from summer to school can be challenging for any family—but for children and teens with ADHD, the sudden increase in schedules, expectations, transitions, and executive-functioning demands can make the start of the school year especially difficult.
In this practical and engaging VIRTUAL presentation, you will learn what happens when the ADHD brain shifts from “summer mode” to “school mode” and receive age-appropriate strategies for families with children from elementary through high school. Parents will learn how to ease the transition, create routines that actually work, reduce morning and homework battles, build independence without removing needed support, and respond more effectively when their child becomes overwhelmed.
Join ADHD and Executive Functioning Coach Hannah Bookbinder, LSW, M.Ed., author of Unlock Your Inner Superhero: Conquering the Challenges of ADHD and creator of My TOAD® App, an executive-functioning app designed for all ages to help people move from stuck to start—and from intention to action.
And because back-to-school stress doesn’t belong only to the kids, Hannah will also share strategies to help parents stay grounded when schedules get hectic and frustrations run high.
Come away with practical tools you can begin using immediately—and a new way of thinking about what a successful start to the school year can look like for the entire family.
Login links will be shared the week prior to the workshop.
