We are excited to announce that our application to become a COVID vaccination site has been approved by the City of Philadelphia. Please take a moment to read more about how we intend to roll out the vaccine, what to expect when you arrive in our office, and how to schedule your child’s appointment.

Who can receive the vaccine at Center City Pediatrics?
Only registered patients of our practice who have previously established care are eligible to be vaccinated in our office. We can accommodate doses for children between the ages of 5-11 as well as those 12 and older.
Can I vaccinate all my children at the same time?
Every child must have their own appointment to receive the COVID vaccine, although you can schedule consecutive times if they are available.
Will all CCP locations be offering the COVID vaccine?
Initially, only our Center City (South Street) location will offer the COVID vaccine. However, you can schedule a vaccine appointment in Center City even if you are normally seen in Bala or Fishtown. We anticipate the Fishtown location to begin offering COVID vaccines in mid-January. We are currently working with the Montgomery County Health Department on plans for our Bala Cynwyd office.
If my child received their 1st dose elsewhere, can they get their 2nd dose at CCP?
Yes. Please schedule that appointment for 3 weeks after their initial dose. You must bring their original vaccination card to your appointment and present it to our reception staff before the 2nd dose can be administered.
Can my eligible child receive their booster (3rd dose) at CCP?
Yes. Please schedule that appointment for 6 months after their 2nd dose. You must bring their original vaccination card to your appointment and present it to our reception staff before the 3rd dose can be administered.
Can my child receive their COVID vaccine as part of their already scheduled well visit?
At this time, COVID vaccines will be administered only during designated appointment slots. We anticipate expanding availability to include well visits in January, however, we recommend having your child vaccinated as soon as possible and not waiting for their exam. If you do choose to wait, please understand that COVID vaccines will be administered by our medical assistants at the start of your child’s well visit – before your doctor’s examination.
Is there a cost associated with the vaccine?
We will not collect any fees or co-pays for your vaccine visit.
What should I expect when I arrive for my child’s COVID vaccine appointment?
Please proceed directly to Check-in 2. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire and schedule your 2nd dose appointment prior to receiving the 1st dose. After the vaccine has been administered, you will be required to sit with your child in our multipurpose room for a 15-minute observation period.
What if my child has a history of severe reactions to vaccinations?
Please contact our Practice Logistics Manager (215-735-5600 x133) to discuss options and schedule your appointment directly.
How can I schedule my child’s COVID vaccine appointment?
For children without any history of vaccine allergies or severe reactions, appointments can be self-scheduled using this link:
