Early Access Replaces Weekday Walk-In
Beginning Monday, May 1st we are excited to offer a new service – Early Access – which will replace weekday Walk-In at our Center City location. With Early Access, you can reserve your space during that first clinic hour of the morning in advance.
Early Access is available for children who have become suddenly ill and are experiencing pain and discomfort, or who have experienced worsening symptoms overnight.
Early Access Offers Scheduling Online
Early Access has a very specific purpose – to see children experiencing a limited number of symptoms that have developed and/or worsened overnight. Early Access does not replace the need for you to schedule a sick appointment for a child with unrelated complaints or who has been experiencing symptoms for several days.
With Early Access, you can schedule a morning appointment online using a pop-up that will be accessible on our website. The pop-up will not always be available. It becomes active beginning at 10:30pm on Sunday – Thursday evenings and remains accessible until our office opens for the next day. Early Access will only allow you to schedule for the first clinic hour of the following weekday morning.
You will not have to register for Early Access or enroll in any additional service. Simply visit our website after 10:30pm Sunday-Thursday evening and you will see the pop-up.
Early Access is Easy to Use
Early Access appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. At the time you visit our website, you will have a choice of any remaining available times. Available times are limited to the first clinic hour of each weekday and only for patients seen at our Center City location. When the spaces are filled, families will need to contact our office beginning at8:00am to schedule an appointment later in the day.
When using Early Access, you will be required to provide:
- Parent/Guardian Name, Email and Phone
- Child Name and Date of Birth
- Reason for Visit
Please note that not all symptoms are appropriate for Early Access. When scheduling through Early Access, you will be asked to select your Reason for Visit from the following list:
- Difficulty Breathing
- Ear Pain
- Sore Throat
- Worsening Fussiness
- Uncontrolled Fever
- Pink Eye
- Instructed by On-Call Physician
As always, in the event of a true medical emergency please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
You will receive an email confirmation of your Early Access time. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in.
Early Access is Not For Every Appointment
Early Access appointments have a very specific purpose – to see children experiencing a limited number of symptoms that have developed and/or worsened overnight. If your child has had symptoms present for several days or if your child has multiple unrelated complaints, we ask that you contact our office to schedule a sick appointment.
Likewise, Early Access should not be used simply to accommodate a family’s work, school or travel schedule. Siblings can not be seen during Early Access unless they are scheduled separately.
