Has your child been diagnosed with a food allergy? Are you looking for additional support? If you are following an elimination diet under the guidance of a physician, if your child has had an allergic reaction to food (including FPIES), or if your child has tested positive for a food allergy by a physician – this group is for you!
Join us for a chance to meet other families struggling with food allergies. Topics covered include: the law and food allergies, communicating with childcare providers, educating family and friends, having an emergency plan, practice using (empty) epinephrine injectors, and financial needs.
Please do not bring any food other than breast milk or formula to the workshop – it is our goal to create a safe space for food allergy families.
This 60-minute group is facilitated by Anna Bechtel, MPH, RN.
You don’t need to be a patient of Center City Pediatrics or Center City Pediatrics – Bala Cynwyd to attend. Advance registration is required. It is appropriate for infants in arms or caregivers attending without children. Some topics may be scary for children, please use your judgment whether your child should attend.
