For most couples, marital satisfaction decreases substantially after children. Between sleepless nights, temper tantrums, strained finances, battles over homework, and soccer practices, it’s easy to understand how a couple’s relationship takes a back seat. Before long, you may think of your partner primarily as a co-parent. Fundamental identities may change: from wife to mother; husband to father; from best friends and lovers to parents. This workshop gives parents tools to navigate their relationship with their partners post-parenthood, as a stable relationship can significantly improve your child or children’s development. David Fask, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist, will facilitate the workshop. He specializes in dealing with stress, anxiety, and helping parents enhance intimacy in their relationship while raising children.
Workshop fee: $15 per adult or $25 per couple. Advanced registration required, no walk-ins.
