Let’s See Those Smiles!
Center City Pediatrics understands the importance of oral health in overall well-being. We are happy to announce that the Healthy Teeth Healthy Children Program has equipped us with the resources to apply fluoride varnish to your child’s primary teeth.
Studies have demonstrated that protecting primary teeth with a fluoride varnish application can greatly improve long term dental health. Our healthcare providers can screen for dental decay and apply this preventive treatment during your child’s regularly scheduled check-up between the ages of 6 months and 5 years, if time permits. Alternatively, you can schedule a separate visit specifically for this treatment. Not sure what to expect? Ask your provider at your next visit!
Please note that if you wish to receive this treatment, a risk assessment tool will be sent electronically for completion before your child’s appointment. We will also provide written notification that you can share with your dentist confirming that you received the treatment in our office.
Beyfortus (RSV) Update
Beyfortus (RSV) immunizations have arrived and we have begun contacting families eligible to have their child receive the treatment.
If you already have an appointment scheduled between the time you receive our message and the day your child reaches the age of 8-months, you do not need to contact us. Simply let the front desk know when you arrive that you wish to have Beyfortus administered during your visit. Unsure? Your provider can share additional details during your appointment.
For those that do not have an appointment scheduled before the day your child turns 8-months of age, please contact your preferred location by phone to schedule a visit.
Note: if the birth parent received the RSV vaccine at least 14 days prior to delivery, we can not administer Beyfortus to your child. You can disregard the outreach message if this is the case.
For those who are not contacted as part of our outreach, we will share details about additional appointment availability via email and on our social media pages. Please do not contact the office to schedule a visit unless we have notified you of your eligibility. Feel free to contact your provider via Follow My Health with any questions.
Need Forms Completed? Please Note Our New Policy!
Please note that, effective immediately, we can no longer accept forms submitted via email. For electronic submission, please use the forms link on our website. Any requests submitted through email will be returned to you, delaying completion.
This page will direct your request to the proper staff for completion, thus guaranteeing the fastest turnaround time. Here, you will also find links to process any form fees and additional information that will help us complete your request in a timely manner.
Of course, forms can still be brought with you to your child’s scheduled visit or can be dropped off in person at the front desk at any of our locations. Please note that if you are dropping off a form without your child being seen, there is now a required questionnaire that you must complete while on-site.
New Supports for Children with Asthma
Center City Pediatrics wants to ensure that families can recognize the signs and symptoms of asthma in their children, identify common asthma triggers, understand how to control these triggers, and properly use asthma medications and tools.
During our new Asthma Care Visits we will help you devise or better implement an Asthma Action Plan. This plan will help you and your child more proactively manage their asthma. We will utilize resources from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) Wee Breathers Program.
Families can schedule an appointment at any of our locations for initial Asthma Care Visits, follow-up visits, and follow-up hospital check-ups. Upon scheduling, each family will be assigned a doctor and an asthma educator. After seeing your provider, you will spend time with the asthma educator to review action plans, MDI, and nebulizer training and other important information. To schedule an Asthma Care Visit, simply visit our website and select that appointment type from the drop down menu.
We kindly request that you complete the checklist shared in your pre-visit text/email and bring it to your appointments, along with any medications, spacers, information about recent hospital visits, and the expiration date of rescue inhalers.
