It can take up to 2-3 weeks for your insurance to update their records after receiving your Insurance Change Form, adding your newborn to your policy. Since claims are sent automatically, it may be denied because the carrier has not yet updated their records. Once the baby has been added, most insurance companies will do a search for denied claims.
