Thanks to all of you who have shared feedback on ways to improve the patient experience at Center City Pediatrics. Many of you have asked us to consider how we can streamline our processes and make it simpler to interact with our office. The way to do it is by combining our personal, hands-on, Patient Centered Medical Home approach with the latest technology.
We are very happy to share with you the latest additions to our technology suite, designed to save you time and provide easy access to information alongside the high level of service you’ve come to expect from us.
Appointment Confirmations: Want a quick and easy way to confirm your child’s appointment? Seven days before your visit, you’ll receive a text message allowing you to do just that. Need to make a change? Let us know and we will contact you by phone to reschedule.
PreVisit: Wish you could spend less time in our waiting room? This check-in link will be texted to you once you confirm your child’s appointment, prompting you to complete any required paperwork in advance of your visit. Pay copays, download pictures of your insurance card, verify demographics, acknowledge office policies and complete appropriate screening tools at your convenience. Then when you arrive, just let the front desk staff know you used the PreVisit link and you can skip the orange pad in the waiting room.
Well Appointment Requests: Always seem to remember you need an appointment at a time when our office is closed? Use the button on the top of our homepage to submit your well visit request anytime. Simply provide your child’s information and three day/time options. If one of your choices is available, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If we need to look at additional days, our scheduling staff will contact you by phone. For best availability, select dates 6-8 weeks in advance, and remember you can now book up to a year into the future!
Health/Allergy History and Concerns: Prefer to spend your appointment time asking questions, not just answering them? When you’re roomed for your well visit, you’ll be able to use the orange pad to identify current symptoms and complete your child’s allergy history. This automatically populates to the chart and eliminates the provider having to ask those questions at the start of your exam, freeing up time to address your questions and concerns.
After Hours Messaging: Want timely after-hours access to the providers for emergency questions? Our after-hours on-call service will have a new sound. Instead of being transferred to a service, you will be prompted to leave a message with your child’s name, date of birth and the issue(s) they are experiencing. Your message will be sent directly to the on-call provider in both a transcribed message and in your original voice along with your child’s chart! Cutting out the middle step allows us to engage the on-call provider more quickly and with more information for them to be able to better help you. We will still have our excellent Nurse Triage service answering your late-night calls from 12am – 8am every day.
Payment Assurance: Like knowing that your balances are paid on time, every time? Register a credit card during your PreVisit check-in. Caregivers receive an email identifying their balances 3 days before the card on file is charged. Want more control of your payments? Use the button on our homepage to pay a balance anytime or set up a payment arrangement.
Electronic Statements: Aspire to do your part in greening our planet? After receiving an initial paper statement, follow the instructions to opt in and receive future statements electronically. The last 12 months of statements can be viewed on Follow My Health at any time.
We’re excited to introduce this new technology, and appreciate you taking the time to learn how it can help make your experience here at Center City Pediatrics more efficient and informative. As always, we welcome your feedback, so please keep your thoughts and suggestions coming. We are grateful to you for sharing and for helping shape the next round of quality improvements.
