Scheduling Policy

Center City Pediatrics Center City schedules appointments Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 7:30pm, Fridays 8:00am – 4:00pm and Saturday mornings 9:00am – 12noon. Prenatal appointments begin at 7:00pm most Monday nights.

Center City Pediatrics Bala Cynwyd schedules appointments Mondays 8am – 5pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:00am – 4pm, Thursdays 9am – 6pm, Fridays 8am – 4pm and Sundays 9:00am – 11:00am. Prenatal appointments begin at 7:00pm one Monday each month.

Availability is determined by a preset schedule template which has been designed to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times. This cannot be altered without Provider approval.

Appointment scheduling

Patients may schedule appointments by phone, in person, through the Online Health Record or via our website. Our staff should communicate with patients in the same manner in which they first engaged our office.

Same Day Appointments

CCP has same day appointments available every day. Priority is given to acute (sick) patients, newborns and infant weight checks. Same day well appointments may be scheduled as appointment availability permits.

Well Child Visits

Center City Pediatrics has a designated Scheduling Coordinator who is trained to work with each provider’s schedule and manage appointments according to insurance and medical requirements and/or restrictions. Well slots may be used for acute or follow up visits if not filled within 24 hours of appointment time.

Newborn Visits

Each physician has 2 designated newborn slots. Slots must remain available until the morning of the appointment.

Acute (Sick) Visits

Slots are preset. Acute slots can be used in advance to schedule follow up appointments, provided a minimum of 6 slots remain open per provider, per location each day to accommodate sick visits. Sick visits are generally made on the day of appointment.

Weekend Appointments

Weekends are reserved for sick visits, newborns and newborn follow ups, at the discretion of the provider on call. The Center City office is open on Saturday mornings and the Bala Cynwyd office is open on Sunday mornings.

Parent or Guardians

Parents/Guardians must accompany the patient unless the appropriate consent has been signed (See Consent to Treat Minor Policy).

Preferred Provider

A preferred provider will be assigned to every patient by 6 months of age. This needs to be confirmed or changed at time of scheduling. Well visits will be scheduled with the preferred provider unless the parent/guardian requests otherwise, or if the preferred provider is not available.
