Diana Karnilaw is a board-certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with 9 years of experience caring for children and their families. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, following a deeply rooted passion for child health that began years earlier.
Originally from Minnesota, Diana holds a BA in biology, psychology, and international health from the University of Denver. After graduation, she served a year in AmeriCorps at a community health center in the Hudson Valley, where her work as a pediatric health educator sparked her love for helping kids build lifelong healthy habits. This led her to pursue a second bachelor’s in nursing through NYU’s accelerated BSN program. She began her nursing career in adult kidney transplant care but quickly realized her heart was in pediatrics.
Diana returned to school to specialize in pediatric care and, after completing her master’s degree, moved to Colorado to work at a small pediatric clinic serving underserved communities in the southern part of the state. After 6 years—and the birth of her son—family ties and the COVID-19 pandemic brought her back east.
Now living in Cherry Hill with her 3 dogs, 2 cats, and her son – Diana is thrilled to be joining Center City Pediatrics—not only as a provider, but also as a parent. She chose CCP for her own child’s care and is honored to now be part of the same trusted team.
Diana is especially passionate about working with toddlers and young children with complex behavioral needs as well as feeding, ENT, and allergy issues as she also works for a local pediatric ENT and allergy office! She believes in a holistic approach that values both physical and mental health and is committed to helping families overcome the social and economic barriers that can impact access to care. Diana ensures that families feel heard, supported, and empowered in developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Outside the office, you’ll find Diana at the beach, in a hot yoga class, doing CrossFit, or exploring local parks with her little zoo. She can’t wait to meet your family and be a part of your child’s journey from infancy through adolescence.
