This week brings good news, as the CDC has now fully expanded COVID vaccination eligibility to children ages 5-11. Center City Pediatrics welcomes this decision and believes it brings us closer to ending this pandemic and returning us to normalcy.
As we shared last week, we have been working with the Health Department to obtain COVID vaccination site status. Our application has been submitted and is being processed. While we have not yet been guaranteed a vaccine delivery date, we believe that we will be ready to begin immunizing our patients in early December.
We recognize that families are eager to vaccinate their children and we applaud you for that. While we work through the final details of our application, we are excited to share a few locations that have begun scheduling pediatric COVID doses. Appointments are added daily, so check often for availability.
