As part of our commitment to delivering high quality medical care, the staff at Center City Pediatrics believes that periodic well checkups during infancy, childhood and adolescence are essential. These visits are important to assess your child’s growth and development and to discuss all of the topics that contribute to a healthy childhood. Below you will find more information about what you can expect at your 7-year visit.
Center City Pediatrics is a vaccinating practice. We follow the immunization schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. There are no vaccines typically administered at this visit. Your child will be given a hearing and a vision screening.
At the 7-year visit, you will be asked to complete the PSC17 screening tool. This can be completed as part of your pre-visit check-in. If it is not done in advance, we will ask you to complete it during your appointment.
There are a number of topics relevant to your child’s growth and development that your provider will discuss with you at this visit. You will find many of these highlighted on our Well Visit Guidelines page. An emphasized topic discussed at this age is nutrition. You can also find a host of resources on our website.
